John was born and bred in the North East. He went to school in Gateshead and is currently an Independent Councillor in Hartlepool.
As Principal Opposition Leader on the council, John has supported better mental health for residents, and is fighting for the return of local hospital services.

Claire is a writer, broadcaster, free speech campaigner and author. She is a panellist on Radio 4’s,The Moral Maze and appears regularly on Newsnight, Any Questions, and Sky Newspaper Review.
Claire is director and founder of the Academy of Ideas, and a member of the European Cultural Parliament.
Henrik is a Danish citizen who has lived in the UK for over 20 years with his British wife and two children. He has worked as an NHS dentist, becoming a senior trade union official representing 30,000 UK dentists.
As co-chair of a Eurosceptic party, he successfully campaigned to ensure that Denmark rejected the Maastricht Treaty in 1992.
Dr David Bull is a medical doctor, writer and an award-winning presenter for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. He hosts global conferences on medicine and has written two health books for children.
David has campaigned to clean up hospitals, improve sexual health, provide hot school meals and ensure that new-borns are screened for Cystic Fibrosis.
YORKSHIRE & THE HUMBER
John is an entrepreneur and Chairman of Leave Means Leave. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Economists for Free Trade, the Institute of Economic Affairs and was Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce.
With 40 years’ experience of business on every continent John has been a director of hospital trusts and Chairman of the CBI Distributive Trades Panel.
Lucy is a grassroots campaigner, former classical singer, and communications professional. Since 2016 she has brought together Leave voters from across the country over a pint and a chat.
Lucy’s “Leavers of Britain” now has almost 6,000 members. Born in Suffolk, Lucy studied Music and Performance at City University and has performed a lead soprano role at the Royal Albert Hall.
A former professional cricketer, Jake studied economics and politics at university. He is now a self-employed business advisor working across Europe and the Middle East.
Jake is also involved in student mentoring and has coached junior rugby.
Nathan is a sitting Member of the European Parliament for the Brexit Party. Brought up in an old people’s home he was taught to love and respect his elders.
Before becoming an MEP Nathan worked in the family business, employing hundreds of people. He has volunteered for the church in East Anglia and London.
James resigned his position as Head of UK Trade at the Office for National Statistics to stand for the Brexit Party. As a civil servant he has advised world-leading tech companies.
Most recently he delivered crucial statistics to help the government prepare for Brexit. James lives in Wales with his wife and two children.
Rupert was a member of the committee that created the FTSE 100 Index. He is a former Chairman of Southampton Football Club.
Rupert chaired the Prince’s Trust in the South East, and is currently Chairman of Proton Partners International, which delivers cancer treatments to four centres in the UK.
Martin is an award-wining editor, journalist and broadcaster. A former editor of Loaded magazine, he co-founded the Men & Boys Coalition and campaigns on issues such as boys’ educational under-attainment, the dangers of online pornography and the importance of fathers.

Andrew is a practising solicitor and mediator. Having started out doing part-time jobs including working as a dustman, he is the founder of an award-winning company that designs and supplies lifesaving equipment.
He now lives in Birmingham with his family and has a passion for kitesurfing and beekeeping.
Annunziata was a lifelong Conservative Party activist and parliamentary candidate before joining The Brexit Party. In 2003 she set up ‘Trust the People’, to campaign for a referendum on the EU constitution.
Annunziata has worked in finance, publishing and journalism. She has been a leader writer for The Daily Telegraph as well as a deputy editor of MoneyWeek.
Jonathan is a sitting Brexit Party MEP for the East Midlands. He was born and brought up in Nottinghamshire and after a degree in politics he started his career with a local advertising agency.
Jonathan went on to become Head of External Affairs at the Advertising Association. He lives in Northamptonshire and was a councillor on Kettering Borough Council for eight years.
Matthew is an experienced business and charity director. He has global board experience in social impact, sports, commerce, fundraising and business development. He was CEO of the Mayor’s Fund for London and the Lords’ Taverners.
He was also CEO at M&C Saatchi Sponsorship and Director of Communications at Clubs for Young People.
EAST OF ENGLAND
Richard is Chairman of the Brexit Party. He is an entrepreneur who has run small, medium and large businesses in the real estate sector, including as CEO of a billion-pound company listed on the stock market.
A long-term Eurosceptic, Richard founded the Leave Means Leave campaign after the 2016 EU referendum.
Michael is co-founder of Westmonster.com, an anti-establishment, pro-Brexit news website.
He previously handled media for Nigel Farage and has written for the Daily Express and Telegraph Online, as well as appearing on BBC News, ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Sky News.
June grew up in Lowestoft. Her family have been involved in the fishing industry for generations and in 2004 she purchased the Lowestoft Fish Auctioneers.
June campaigns to keep the East Coast fishing industry alive and has helped to ban electric pulse fishing in British waters. She has also helped to found Renaissance of the East Coast Fisheries.
Ann is one of few politicians to become a household name. She was born in Somerset, went to Oxford University, and worked for Unilever. Ann was elected as Conservative MP for Maidstone in 1987 and served as a minister under John Major.
She retired from politics in 2010 and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing. Ann has spent much of her political life campaigning to leave the EU.
James is an environmentalist. He is also a former Oxford historian, military commander and served in the Special Forces. As an officer in the Royal Marines Commandos he was deployed around the world, including Afghanistan, and was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for bravery.
James is a director of Veterans 4 Wildlife, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
Christina came to the UK from Malaysia in 1985. She completed her nurse training at Winchester General Hospital before working there as a staff nurse.
Christina’s charity work has included volunteering for the Rainbow Trust and the NSPCC. She is married with two grown-up children.
Nigel is the leader of The Brexit Party, which he launched in April 2019.
He has spent 25 years as the leading campaigner for Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union, and has been a Member of the European Parliament since 1999.
Alexandra is a former broadcast journalist and political consultant. She has lived and worked in China, India and Africa, and fought elections on behalf of many politicians.
Her passions include Formula One, cookery, Eastern Philosophy and attempting to finish The Sunday Times cryptic crossword with a nice cup of tea.
Robert has had a 30-year business career in London and New York. He successfully launched a fund at Lazard, which grew to $1bn. He currently runs his own company as well as owning a family retail business that employs over 70 people.
Robert is a director of Tickets for Troops, a charity which donates tickets for events to serving members of the Armed Forces.
Belinda is currently completing her Masters in European Union Law. She took part in the 2019 ‘March to Leave’ walk, from Sunderland to London.
Belinda has also campaigned for military personnel. She travels the UK to encourage hotels to donate rooms to military families in need of a respite break.
Ben is founder and CEO of First Property Group plc, an award-winning commercial property fund with operations in the UK and Europe.
Prior to setting up First Property, Ben was managing director at a FTSE 350 reinsurance broker. He was educated at Rugby School and Cambridge University.
Before taking over his family’s smoked salmon business in east London, Lance started out as President of the Cambridge Union. He qualified as a chartered accountant and was appointed Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.
Joining Forman’s in 1994 he developed the business and has helped pioneer the growth in speciality British food.
