Chairman Richard Tice said: “With or without the hated backstop, the so-called Withdrawal Agreement (WA) is still the worst deal in history. It simply does not deliver the clean-break Brexit the British people voted for more than three years ago and The Brexit Party will fight it tooth and nail.
“The Prime Minister’s recent letter to the President of the European Council confirms what we have been warning. Borisand the Tories cannot be trusted to deliver a proper Brexit.
“Boris has already voted for Theresa May’s terrible deal, including the backstory, and if he and the new cabinet try to rehash and resell it, we stand ready to offer a democratic alternative that is faithful to the referendum result.
“The WA will force the UK to pay a £39 billion divorce bill, will trap us in a customs union and keep us chained to EU courts, fishing quotas and state aid rules, as well as dragging us into an EU army and new rules controlling tax.
“Recent polling has shown a massive swell in support for leaving the EU on World Trade Organisation terms and The Brexit Party is the only party that can be trusted to deliver the best outcome for the UK and fully restore our sovereignty.”
